Walking Forward Therapy-
Helen has over a decade of specialist counselling experience.
Amongst regular counselling support is Trauma Management, examples include: the impact of rape, sexual and domestic abuse, both recent and distant, and PTSD. More recently how the pandemic continues to impact client’s lives.
A second specialism is neuro-diversity. Helen has many years of experience working with neurodiverse clients in different settings. Her approach is to celebrate neurological differences via an invitation to take off the mask to offer the true self.
Over the past 3 years she has also offered clients the opportunity to work together in woodland settings. This provides a profound opportunity to listen and share the struggles encountered. Her experience and research shows how vital it can be to connect within nature through touch, sight & sound. Releasing what is being held within the beautiful environment of Cornish woodland, calming a wide range of sensory overload. Together you will walk towards a clearer pathway of forward thinking, walking onwards, taking a journey of self-discovery, acceptance, strength, courage & empowerment.
Helen’s additional areas of focus are: anxiety, depression, narcissism, attachment, dissociative identity disorder, bipolar, stress, emotional unstable personality disorder, co-dependency, seasonal affective disorder, bereavement, child loss, empaths
Helen offers high support with curious questioning, always asked with warmth and kindness and, if appropriate, laughter. Playfulness can prove helpful to ease discomfort.

I support clients with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, loss and grief, relational and family difficulties, family estrangement, and challenging life transitions. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by daily life, struggling with self-doubt, or navigating a major change, you don’t have to do it alone.
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on various therapeutic methods to meet your individual needs, while always grounding our work in a person-centred foundation. Sessions are tailored to your growth and what feels right for you.
Counselling is a confidential, supportive space that’s just for you—a place where you can express yourself freely without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening in your life, identify patterns, build resilience, and work towards greater self-awareness and emotional well-being. My aim is to empower you to feel more confident in facing life’s challenges and to support you in creating meaningful, positive changes.
Life can be unpredictable and tough to navigate, especially during big transitions or moments of uncertainty. Whether you’re:
• A young person navigating school pressures or friendship challenges,
• A teen experiencing intense emotions or trying to find your identity,
• Or an adult facing personal, family, or career challenges,
I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, understanding, and tailored support.

Trauma Release Kinesiology
Trauma is not only stored in the mind but also in the body. The main muscles that hold trauma are the neck, shoulders, back, and hips, with cortisol (stress) release points for each of these areas. This work is fascinating and deeply impactful. The part of the body responsible for anxiety and depression is the nervous system, particularly the vagus nerve. In her sessions, Lexi shares the science of trauma, provides tools to take away, and helps clients release trauma one muscle at a time. She also supports individuals in rebuilding their lives after trauma.
Trauma Release Boxing
Lexi’s boxing sessions are unlike any traditional exercise class. This is a safe and supportive environment designed to help individuals return to movement after trauma. The process is done with care, going at the pace of the client’s body and building them back up, one punch at a time. Over time, Lexi also helps people connect with frustration, anger, and rage in a fun and contained way. Magic!
Experience and Trainings
Lexi has been working with trauma for over a decade, teaching children at a school for challenging behaviour and supporting over 300 trauma release adult clients. Her training to become a fully qualified Trauma Release Kinesiologist took 3-4 years, and she now trains others in Level 1 and Level 2 (both in Kinesiology and Boxing). This is supported by her Master’s Degree in Education and extensive experience working with trauma.

Sarah has a passion for clients who want to embrace their true selves and be able to live more authentically. Being aware that often past and present events can alter perceptions of ourselves and hold us back. She would like to help people find greater happiness and purpose in their lives. Sarah can offer a warm approach and a space to explore the things you would like to work with, free from judgement.

I realise how tough it can be to come to counselling, how challenging it can be to share deep emotions with someone you may have only just met and I appreciate how much it can take for anyone to reach out to a counselling service.
I think it's vital that you know I won't be judging you, that I won't be telling you what to do, and that, if you choose to work with me, I will do my utmost to connect with your emotions while remembering your experience will have differences to mine.
I want to offer you a space to be yourself, to know that you and all your emotions are accepted and to work with you so that you are able to identify the things that you want to change.
